The people of the United States of America are presumption special rights that are guaranteed in the Constitution - The Supreme Law of the Land. The snatch Amendment of the Constitution declares, A well regulated reserves, being necessary to the security system of the free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. In other words, just because a great number of people own guns de jure for private use, this does not stop criminals from obtaining guns. Studies on gun control have shown that family members were to a greater extent likely to be wounded or even killed by other family members than by a potential attacker or intruder.
